Meet Studio Owner
Nadia Giuliano
“I want to become the standard in my area—as an innovative school in working with young children in dance.”
When studio owner Nadia Giuliano opened Naturalmente Danza in Perugia, Italy, her vision was clear: she wanted to create a dance school that felt welcoming, joyful, and accessible to more people than traditional studios in her region. But like many studio owners introducing something new to their local market, she needed a way to offer classes that felt both engaging for children and distinct from nearby competitors.
That’s when the Little Dancer Program began to play a role in her preschool program.
Using the program with her two to five-year-old classes, Nadia found that the themes and story-driven structure of the monthly lesson plans helped hold children’s attention while also giving her teachers a clearer framework for their lessons. The combination of imaginative storytelling and structured progression gave her studio a recognizable identity—something she believes helps her stand out in her area.
“I like to differentiate myself from my competitors with a cheerful method full of imagination that Italy is not yet used to. I want to become a the standard in my area—as an innovative school in working with young children in dance.”
For Nadia, introducing a colorful, story-based teaching approach brought something fresh to her local dance community. She sees this as a strategic advantage for Naturalmente Danza. It’s a way to offer families something they cannot easily find elsewhere, while positioning her studio as forward-thinking and child-focused.
While her background in dance and music spans conservatory training, theater work, university studies, and teaching experience, Nadia believes the success of her studio ultimately comes down to creating an environment where students feel inspired to participate. She continues to model that energy herself in the classroom, demonstrating to students that dance is something to be enjoyed throughout life.
“We learn to dance even before walking, but then as we grow up we are ashamed. At Naturalmente Danza everyone can dance, without age limits, but only for their own passion and happiness.”
As Naturalmente Danza continues to grow, Nadia remains committed to her original vision of offering a welcoming, innovative space for dancers of all ages. Her advice to studio owners pursuing a new idea or program reflects the persistence required to introduce something different in a local market.
