How to grow preschool enrollment without social media or ads

When I look at most preschool and early childhood dance classes, many fall into one of two extremes:

  1. Some are highly technical but feel repetitive and uninspiring.

  2. Others are creative and fun but lack true developmental appropriateness and skill progression.

The strongest preschool dance programs use both structure and imagination. They prepare their little dancers for more advanced classes later on AND they teach in a way that is fun and inspiring.

This is the formula to a thriving and growing preschool dance program.

While your students are having fun, their parents see that they are having fun and learning. Put simply, you want your preschool dance classes to feel magical and purposeful.

In the Little Dancer Program, we provide our studios with two curated lesson plan sets every month. Both lesson plan sets focus on dance concepts and developmentally appropriate skills and technique. One does so through a fairy tale story. The other through an imaginative play theme.

Fairy tale themes give children familiar stories, characters, and emotional connections that help them remember movements and stay engaged.

Imaginative play themes (like animals, seasons, or adventures) give teachers flexibility to reinforce skills, explore movement concepts, and keep lessons fresh.

You can’t go wrong with either option. In fact, some studios choose to offer both as a way to expand and fill their preschool dance program offerings. It’s an easy way to offer variety when it comes to preschool dance and to differentiate your studio from others in your area.

I’ll be back next week with the simplest, lowest cost way to increase your preschool dance enrollment. I’ll give you a couple of clues now—without posting to social media and without spending money on ads.

You're doing amazing work!
