Can you put a price on organized teachers and consistent dance classes?

When dance studio owners consider investing in systems or curriculum for their studio, the first question is usually about cost:

“How much will it cost for me to buy or to join?”

And the second question is usually:

“Will this work for me and my studio?”

While those are great questions—and they certainly should be asked—they are actually the wrong questions to be asking first. Instead, how about this question:

“What would it feel like if my preschool and other early childhood dance classes ran smoothly and consistently without me needing to oversee every detail?”

Imagine how it would feel if teachers knew exactly what to teach, classes appeared organized and purposeful to parents, kids left their classes eager to return for the next, and both parents and children experienced the same quality no matter who taught the class.

I’ve talked a lot about how quality and consistency will help you to grow your studio and your revenue.

But for many dance studio owners, the real benefit isn’t the growth that ensues. It’s peace of mind.

It’s relief from writing lesson plans late at night (or worrying about the lesson plans your teachers may be writing late at night). It’s less worry about teacher quality. It’s relief from feeling like your early childhood dance program depends entirely on you.

If you could take a vacation for a week and your preschool dance classes would continue to run smoothly without you—either because you have a knowledgeable and amazing teaching staff already teaching for you, or because you have beyond-competent subs that could step in when needed.

In fact, the lesson plans that I originally started this business with were what I wrote for my own teachers at my studio. There was certainly a gap from one teacher to the next in terms of their education and experience. There was also a gap in the lesson plans they were teaching on their own. I needed something all of my teachers could use, no matter what their background was. I couldn’t find this at the time. (We’re talking 2012. There were far fewer dance teaching resources online back then!) So I started writing lesson plans that I could use and my teachers could use—so that I could be confident and have peace of mind that all of my classes were receiving the same amazing and magical experience.

Today, those lesson plans have become part of the Little Dancer Program—giving studios around the world a teaching methodology and lesson planning framework their teachers can follow. As the studio owner, you should be able to focus on leading your studio. That’s something only you can do.

If that sounds like peace of mind to you, check out our Little Dancer Program.

Soon, I’ll share what happens when a preschool dance program becomes a true feeder system for the rest of your studio.

Keep leading your studio!
